The Peep Show
Peep shows can be traced as far back to the 15th century. The traditional fair ground peep shows of the 1800's was the Youtube of its day and is essentially what viral video is today. The original Wandering Showman penny films is where people would view all sorts of funny, quirky and unusual films through a wooden 'peep' box from boxing cats and animated puppets to a man falling off a ladder into a bucket of water. People marvelled at this new revolutionary form of entertainment. Shortly the Peep Shows turned towards adult enterainment from exotic dancing ladies to through the keyhole films such as 'What the Butler Saw' and the rest they say, is history.
